INTERCESSORS FOR JESUS
Intercessors for Jesus, begun February 1993, encourages intercessors
citywide to gather each month on the second Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
to pray for El Paso/Juarez. God is answering their prayers.
Other ministries that pray for El Paso are Border Prayer Network (info
including Prayer Target 7) and Soapp (info).
The main areas of prayer focus for El Paso are 1,000,000 prepared
for Jesus by December 31, 2005, xxx.
Pastor Glenn A. Weber is the Pastor of Prayer with El Paso for Jesus
Ministries. In February of this year, 2005, the Lord led Glenn into
ministry with
El Paso for Jesus Ministries after serving two years as Pastoral
Liaison with Border Prayer Network. Previously, Pastor Glenn pastored
four
churches during his 32 years of congregational ministry (1970-2002)
in Bowie, TX; Albuquerque, NM; Corona, CA and El Paso, TX.
Pastor Glenn and Susan Weber have been married for 35 years. He enjoyed serving
in pastoral ministry for 10 years as Associate Pastor with his father-in-law
in the church he (his father-in-law) founded in Albuquerque, NM.
After his father-in-law retired, Glenn continued to serve there another
seven
years as Senior Pastor. Glenn and Susan have 2 daughters, Carrie
Busch, married to Ryan Busch, a fireman and live in Las Cruces, NM.
Michele
lives in Corona, CA and works in the music industry.
- To help pastors and churches recognize the importance
of prayer for Jesus’ live-transforming
power and love to flow into the church and out through
the church into the community.
- To help pastors and churches make prayer more foundational
in their ministry and mission for Jesus.
- To help pastors and churches in “Mobilizing Your
Church to Pray!.”
- To establish a Church Prayer Coordinator’s Network in El Paso.
Visit pastors as a caring friend to offer a listening, caring ear and
personal prayer.
Preach and teach in local congregations on the biblical theme, “Unleashing God’s Power through Prayer.”
Lead “Mobilizing Your Church to Pray” workshops, help pastors find a prayer ministry coordinator for their church and organize a prayer action team in their church.
Provide resources for local church prayer coordinators to work alongside their pastor in building a House of Prayer in their local congregation. Assess church’s prayer needs, organize prayer action teams, provide a prayer action organizational chart with position descriptions and help develop a prayer strategy involving the entire congregation.
Work with Pastors and Prayer Ministry Coordinators to raise the level of prayer in the personal life and corporate life of their congregation to become a “House of Prayer for All Nations.” (Jesus – Mark
11:17)
